The Project
This project seeks to investigate World War Two on the home front. Much of the information portrayed in the following pages comes from an interview with Ms. Margaret Lee who was a teenager during the war. She lived in Connecticut during the war. World War Two had a large impact on the lives of civilians living in the United States. It was not a war in which one could be removed from in any way, shape or form. It was constantly there and manifested itself in many different ways to citizens living at home in the United States; this included rations, seeing soldiers, and news coverage. People who lived through this point of American history were strongly connected to the ongoing war in the Pacific and Europe.
